RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE OF THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL ANNOUNCES
ELECTRONIC RECRUITMENT FOR THE FIRST YEAR OF EDUCATION
IN THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL IN THE
MEDICAL DISCIPLINE, PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, HEALTH SCIENCES
IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025

The conditions and procedure of recruitment to the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice in the academic year 2024/2025 are set out in
Resolution No. 76/2023 of the Senate of December 20, 2023
The recruitment procedure consists of three stages:
- Assessment of the completeness verification of the required documents submitted by the Candidate in the electronic system and assessment of the Candidate in accordance with the Candidate Assessment Sheet (until August 30, 2024)
- Interview with the Candidate ( 02-06/09/2024)
- Entry on the list of doctoral students admitted to the Doctoral School or issuing an administrative decision refusing admission to the Doctoral School (until 20/09/2024)
Required documents necessary for the recruitment process, which should be delivered in originals to individual Colleges of the Doctoral School after electronic registration on 24.06.2024-02.08.2024:
- Application for admission to the Doctoral School (download here)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) with the consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the recruitment procedure;
- A copy of the diploma or a certificate of submission of documents necessary for the issuing of a second-cycle diploma, uniform master’s degree or a copy of the first-cycle diploma or a certificate of completion of the third year of uniform master’s studies, together with documentation confirming the highest quality of scientific achievements, and in the case of foreigners, a copy of the diploma confirming completion a university abroad which gives the right to apply for a doctoral degree in a given country,
- Certificate (or supplement) with the arithmetic mean of the marks for the entire course of study;
- Color photograph, dimensions: 40×55 mm;
- A statement from the Head of the Department (or other independent teaching unit) in which the doctoral student is to be educated, certified by the Head of the relevant Dean’s Office, stating that the unit under his supervision is possible to attend obligatory didactic classes (download here)
- Statement by the Head of the Department in which the doctoral student is to be educated that it is possible to conduct scientific research necessary for the implementation of the planned doctoral dissertation (download here);
- A document confirming the knowledge of the English language in the form of a certificate or diploma or a declaration of the knowledge of the English language sufficient to enable education at the Doctoral School in which the leading language of instruction is English (download here);
- List of the candidate’s achievements (download here) along with photocopies of documents confirming these achievements. Reports from the congress must be documented with a certificate of the presentation of the paper and / or a summary in the materials of the congress, and publications with the full text of the paper. Each time a photocopy of the title page of the journal, book, conference papers or abstracts should be attached;
- Document showing the scores obtained from the publications held and confirmed by the Library.

- A medical certificate containing a statement that there are no contraindications for undertaking education at the Doctoral School, issued by a doctor who meets the qualification requirements specified in separate regulations. A referral for medical examinations can be collected in person at the College of the Doctoral School;
In the case of persons with disabilities, in order to ensure the possibility of joining the to the interview for the doctoral school, the Recruitment Committee must be notified of special needs for participation in the interview. The notice should be provided in writing.
