Szanowni Doktoranci I roku Szkoły Doktorskiej,
w związku z rozpoczęciem z dniem 01.10.2022 r. kształcenia w Szkole Doktorskiej Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Katowicach, biorąc pod uwagę zapisy § 8 Regulaminu Szkoły Doktorskiej (załącznik nr 1 do Uchwały nr 45/2019 Senatu SUM z dnia 26.06.2019 r. z późn.zm.), uprzejmie informuję o konieczności złożenia wniosku o wyznaczenie promotora, promotorów albo promotora i promotora pomocniczego zgodnie z wzorem stanowiącym załącznik nr 3 do ww. Regulaminu, który przekazuję w załączeniu (w pdf i w formie edytowalnej).
Promotorem może być osoba posiadająca stopień naukowy doktora habilitowanego lub tytuł naukowy profesora albo osoba nieposiadająca stopnia doktora habilitowanego lub tytułu profesora, która jest pracownikiem zagranicznej uczelni lub polskiej instytucji naukowej, jeżeli Rada Dziedziny Naukowej lub Rada Dyscypliny Naukowej uzna w formie podjętej uchwały, że osoba ta posiada znaczące osiągnięcia w zakresie zagadnień naukowych, których dotyczy rozprawa doktorska.
Promotorem pomocniczym może być osoba ze stopniem naukowym doktora, posiadająca znaczący dorobek lub doświadczenie w danej dyscyplinie.
Promotora wyznacza Dyrektor Szkoły Doktorskiej SUM w terminie trzech miesięcy od dnia podjęcia kształcenia przez doktoranta, po zasięgnięciu opinii Rady Szkoły Doktorskiej SUM.
Przedmiotowy wniosek, podpisany przez proponowanego promotora, promotorów, promotora pomocniczego wraz z uzasadnieniem należy złożyć do dnia 31.10.2022 r. w Kolegium Szkoły Doktorskiej Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Katowicach.

Dear PhD students of the 1st year of the Doctoral School,
in connection with the commencement of education at the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice on 01/10/2022, taking into account the provisions of § 8 of the Regulations of the Doctoral School (Annex No. 1 to Resolution No. 45/2019 of the Senate of SUM of June 26, 2019 from as amended), I would like to kindly inform you about the need to submit an application for the appointment of a supervisor, supervisors or supervisor and auxiliary supervisor in accordance with the template constituting Annex 3 to the above-mentioned Regulations, which I provide attached ( in editable form).
I would like to explain that the promoter may be a person with the academic title of habilitated doctor or the academic title of professor, or a person who does not have the degree of habilitated doctor or the title of professor, who is an employee of a foreign university or scientific institution, if the Scientific Field Council or the Scientific Discipline Council deems in the form of a resolution that this person has significant achievements in the field of scientific issues covered by the doctoral dissertation.
The auxiliary supervisor may be a person with a doctoral degree, with significant achievements or experience in a given discipline.
The supervisor is appointed by the Director of the SUM Doctoral School within three months from the date of starting education by the doctoral student, after consulting the Council of the SUM Doctoral School.
The application, signed by the proposed supervisor, supervisors, auxiliary supervisor, along with the justification, should be submitted by October 31, 2022 to the College of the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.
